An intriguing mix of jubilant colors drip and flow across a mesh screen in a digital artwork that re-imagines the melting and flow of early spring. It’s an example of how an artist pivots from an inspirational image to an abstract composition that embodies his original thought. The blue and white layers are most directly suggestive of water and snow, while the other earthy tones could also be found in nature. The way the colors blend, catch the light, and spill into one another is also somehow organic and raw, although the composition is digital — a quality the mesh grid subtly suggests.
