Clues, 2016

Out of an empty blue-black firmament, faint strands of light are gradually infused with bright blue points, which multiply and spread in all directions. This computer simulation gives us an idea of what the Universe might look like on the largest scale. Right before our eyes, stars form into galaxies, galaxies into clusters, and clusters into superclusters. Spindly filaments of galactic material and dark matter stretch across the otherwise empty chasms, depicting the Cosmic Web.
