Tremaine Harris

An ethereal rock floats above a barren landscape in a surrealistic scene. The marble-like monolith seems to be melting, its brittle fragments dropping onto the striated brown earth. The artist meticulously designs, sets, and fine-tunes his 3D scenes in which he creates sculptural forms. Yet his work transcends technical complexity. It is meant to convey how hardships can drive individuals to a place of desolation, reminiscent of the work of famed Spanish artist Salvador Dali. The ethereal, floating concrete weight represents anxieties and doubts. This work embodies paradox: our troubles may seem solid, yet they’re as brittle as concrete hanging in the air.
