Tyson Parks

Endlessly morphing shapes twirl in a ring through black space, evoking a feeling of restless motion, as well as a sense of awe at the scale of the universe and our relative insignificance. It’s as if they’re all asteroids, held within the gravitational pull of an unseen planet in an eternal dance-like orbit. The artist imagines this work existing as a physical sculpture that transcends the three-dimensional world via quantum physics. In his “Branes” series, he introduces the element of time as an essential component of a sculptural form.
