Darius Kinsey

Best known for his images of loggers and the lumber industry, Kinsey (1869–1945) captured the development and changing landscape of Washington State through his large-format photography. Kinsey documented the growing lumber industry catalyzed by the California Gold Rush, capturing the people who helped this industry thrive in their locomotives and environments in the Pacific Northwest. Kinsey would become the most prolific logging photographer of the era.
